Hire a full-time advisor for mentors/coaches

Purpose

The purpose of the language/cultural advisor is to tutor mentors and coaches in Portuguese language skills, assist with day-to-day activities, and provide cultural insight into the Mozambican livestyle 

Scope

The scope of this project is limited to hiring one local Mozambican national for a period of 18-24 months. 

Timeline

The first Safari Insight Mission mentor/coach will be arriving in Mozambique in March 2011. An advisor will be needed almost immediately to enable the mentor/coach to be affective in carrying out Safari Insight Mission business in a timely manner.  Click the donate button to support this project.

Requirements

This project requires the hiring of a Mozambican national who is fluent in Portuguese, English, and at least one additional native language (e.g. Makhuwa, Tsonga, Lomwe, Sena, etc.).  This individual must be able to spend 6-8 hours per day with mentor/coaches, 7 days per week, to provide language tutoring and insight into the culture and customs of the Mozambican lifestyle.  Must also be able to assist with acquisition of necessary visas and other paperwork required by the Mozambican government and/or local governments to ensure that mentor/coaches are able to obtain legal status in the country.

Budget Requirements

Information in this section is based on recently released information established by the Mozambican government regarding monthly minimum wages.

The cost of a language/cultural advisor is estimated to be $10 per day, $70 per week, $305 monthly, $5490 for 18 months of service.
