We Need Your Help

As you know, Al Corson has been in Mozambique since February and Velma will be joining him in August.  At present, we have no means of transportation to allow them to carry out mission business.  The picture at left is an actual quote that we received from a local dealer in Chimoio for a Toyota Hilux pickup.  The cost is $44,000 US.  In May, Al was in Nampula and visited the local Toyota dealership there.  He found a Toyota Land Cruiser Model 70 Pickup which was already outfitted for the bush for a mere $54,000 US.  The is a far better deal than the Hilux in Chimoio for several reasons.  We have also obtained quotes for an LC70 pickup in Chimoio that was not bush ready for more than $90,000 US.  We realize these prices are quite steep for something that would sell for about 1/2 that in the US.  There are a number of reasons why a bush ready vehicle like the LC70 in Nampula is necessary and why the cost is so high.  Click here for more details.  In any case, we ask that you would prayfully consider giving to this need so that Al and Velma are able to carry out the work of Safari Insight Mission in Mozambique.
