Brian Spear - Promotions and Outreach

I was born and raised in Kansas. My family lived in Enid, OK for a brief period where my father worked for Dowell Oil Co. I was baptized at age 9 in a reservoir at church camp by my father’s first cousin, Pastor Ives. I attended Nursing School and have worked for over 20 years in various areas of the health care industry. I worked as a Development and Training Specialist, teaching and training developmentally disabled children and adults. Then I became involved in the geriatric, psychiatric and home heath care services area. I also worked as a General Manager for a fund raising company which raised funds for community service programs such as crime prevention education, missing children, various youth programs, food drives and needy families.

Currently, I live in Mannford, OK and am a member of Lakeview Christian Church. I served in the youth ministry for several years, have been the men’s ministry team leader since 2003 and am now also serving as a Deacon. I met Al Corson just a few short weeks ago when he came to our church to talk to our missions committee about Safari Insight Mission. I was impressed by Al’s passion and his presentation and knew right away this was a mission work that I needed to be a part of. I approached Al and asked if there was a way that I could help. Now I am working with them to promote an understanding of this important mission work to the church.
